(VOVworld) – Delegates discussed development prospects of Vietnam-US relations at a roundtable talk held Thursday in Hanoi by the Vietnam-US Association of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.

Nguyen Tam Chien, the head of the Association, said the talk, entitled “A new vision for Vietnam-US co-operation”, is part of activities to mark the 20^th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the US. He said they have reviewed their past, but the important thing is to keep looking toward and building a bright future. Nguyen Xuan Hong, the President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, hailed participation by the American Veterans for Peace (VFP) at the event and VFP’s support in promoting friendship between the two countries.
