Vietnam wins first prize at 10th ASEAN Skills Competition
(VOVworld) – Vietnam won first prize at the 10th ASEAN Skills Competition with 15 gold medals, followed by Indonesia and Malaysia.
This was announced at the 3rd Technical Committee Meeting of the Competition on Tuesday in Hanoi. Duong Duc Lan, Head of the Department of Vocational Training under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Head of the event’s organizing board: “Vietnam has gained an absolute result at the competition, while the runners- up won 8 and 9 medals. Vietnamese workers are said to be creative and skillful”.
Regarding vocational training for ASEAN integration and prepareation for the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement to be signed, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam asked the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to improve their vocational training and planning of their vocational training networks.
