Amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, civil protection work has been strengthened as Vietnam helped thousands of its citizens overseas stabilize their lives, and protected their lives, assets, and rights.
With the spirit of “leaving no one behind,” Vietnamese administrative agencies, overseas representatives, and airlines organized flights to safely bring Vietnamese people home on par with the domestic quarantine capacity. More than 85,000 citizens were brought home on 300 flights from 59 countries and territories.
With limited resources, Vietnam has carried out unprecedented operations to protect its citizens under strict pandemic preventive measures. Deputy Foreign Minister Dung said Vietnam will continue to bring its citizens home in accordance with the pandemic inside and outside Vietnam and quarantine capacity.
