(VOVworld) – A festival themed “Vietnam – Land of the Dragon” took place Sunday on Friendship Island in the city of Potsdam, Germany. Under the auspices of Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh, the festival was organized to bring to local people various performances from traditional dragon dances to ethnic singing, instruments, and martial arts demonstrations.

Attendees visited a market with 6 stalls selling Vietnamese handicrafts and enjoyed Vietnamese cuisine.  The festival was organized by the Thang Long Business Association in Potsdam, the Vietnamese Business Association in Germany and the Friends of Friendship Island Association.
