Workers to be taken care of during Tet holidays
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam General Confederation of Labor have instructed trade union of all levels to ensure a happy and sufficient Lunar New Year (Tet) for workers.
Trade unions have planned tasks like demanding employers to increase minimum wage, allowances, and subsidies for workers, support difficult enterprises and assists workers to return home for Tet. Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice Chairman of Vietnam General Confederation, said: “Workers will be supported with train and bus tickets to return home during Tet holidays. We will also organize cultural and music programs and call for more support from organizations and enterprises to assure a happy Tet for workers”.
The Lunar New Year holiday runs from February 2 to 10, 2019.
