Youth Union representatives paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh

(VOVworld) – As part of celebrations of the Youth Union’s founding anniversary, a delegation of the Union’s Central Committee on Sunday visited Ho Chi Minh mausoleum. On behalf of 81 excellent Youth Union’s Secretaries nationwide, Nguyen Kieu Diem from Ca Mau province said Vietnamese youth will always follow President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings, and try their best to contribute to the Union’s work.

Youth Union members and officials from Hanoi’s outlying districts attended the Capital city’s rural youth festival on Saturday night. Tran Xuan Viet, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee emphasized on the vanguard role of young people in developing capital city’s agriculture and new rural areas: “The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi continues to uphold recent results, creates favorable conditions for rural youth to attend vocational training, and organize movements to build new rural areas. The Union considers building new rural area a requirement of sustainable development, which is a key task and momentous strategy in the cause of building a rich, civilized and modern capital city”.

The second festival was held this weekend with meaningful activities such as an exhibition on young Hanoians building new rural areas, a competition of young craftsmen, and a forum on educating revolutionary ideals and ethics for the young generations. On the occasion, 20 exemplary models of economic development and 55 outstanding young rural people were honored.
