State-level rehearsal of grand parade for 50th anniversary of national reunification
(VOVWORLD) - A State-level rehearsal for the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) was held on Sunday in Ho Chi Minh City.
 The rehearsal is attended by Politburo members Tran Cam Tu and Nguyen Trong Nghia, Defense Minister Phan Van Giang, Secretary of the HCM City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, along with leaders from ministries, departments, and agencies. |
 The rehearsal officially begins with the flag-raising ceremony, accompanied by a 21-gun salute conducted by the ceremonial artillery team at Bach Dang Wharf. |
 After the speeches delivered by Party and State leaders, representatives of war veterans, and Vietnamese young people come the full rehearsal of the military parade. |
 Participating in the parade rehearsals are 23 military and militia units, 23 police force units, 12 mass organisation formations, 4 ceremonial groups, and 3 international military contingents. |
 In addition to the ground formations, the rehearsal features coordinated participation from helicopter and fighter jet squadrons. The air teams departed from Bien Hoa Airport and moved toward Ho Chi Minh City. |
 The helicopter squadron carry the Party flag and the national flag. |
 The fighter jets feature acrobatics and deploy flares during their performance. |
 The State-level rehearsal serves as the final preparation for the ceremony to mark the 50th anniversary of national reunification. |
