(VOVworld) – 10% of Vietnam’s social activities will be posted on the internet by 2017, said the Vietnam Internet Association (VIA), adding that this is expected to boost Internet's popularity in social life. The association noted that this will contribute to the establishment of the Internet of Things (IoT) in Vietnam with key players involving telecommunications and internet businesses as well as hard and software applications related to IoT. VIA has set a target of offering wide band internet transmissions to up to 60% of households and individuals by 2020 and promoting internet usage in social activities, especially in education, healthcare, and public services.
