(VOVworld) – The Party Politburo held a working session with the Central Military Party Committee on Wednesday to discuss preparations for the 10^th Military Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term.

In his address, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong noted the the congress should focus on improving the fighting capacity and leadership of the Party committee, building a revolutionary people’s army, foiling subversive plots by hostile forces, and maintaining a peaceful, stable environment for national construction and defense. He said that it is also important to step up military external relations, combat corruption and waste, and develop a socialist-oriented market economy.
