(VOVworld)- The 10^th Plenum of the 11^th Party Central Committee closed in Hanoi on Monday after 8 days of working. Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong chaired the closing meeting and delivered a keynote speech. He said the Party Central Committee discussed thoroughly and reached a consensus on major issues of the draft documents of the 12^th National Party Congress. The documents will be discussed at Party congresses at various levels.

Reviewing the outcomes of 30 years of renovation from 1986 to 2016 and 5 years implementing the resolution of the 11^th Party Central Committee, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said Vietnam has gained remarkable and historic achievements after 30 years of renovation which will create prerequisites for Vietnam’s renovation and development in the coming time. The Party leader highlighted the importance of effectively responding to the solutions put forth at the 11^th Congress and Conclusions of the 7^th Plenum of the 11^th Party Central Committee. Mr. Trong stressed the need to create drastic changes in restructuring the civil servants to attract talents to work for public services of the Party and State. He said the Project on Press Management and Development until 2025 should aims at developing the Vietnamese press into a revolutionary, modern, quality and effective press meeting the public’s information demand and communicating the Party guidelines and state laws and policies. Party leader Nguyen Phu TRong said: “The 10^th Plenum of Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee was a great success. The Vietnamese Party and people must be determined to successfully fulfill tasks set for 2015 focusing on enhancing socio-economic development, stabilizing the macro-economy, strengthening economic restructuring, renovating the growth model, ensuring social security, and improving people’s lives. It is essential to maintain national independence and sovereignty, stable environment for national development and promote external relations. We need to focus on successfully organizing Party Congresses for the 2015-2020 period at various levels to prepare for the 12^th National Party Congress. It’s important to continue implementing the Party resolution on Party building and the Politburo’s Directive 03 on following the President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example to create drastic changes in Party building”.

On the occasion of the New Year 2015 and the upcoming traditional New Lunar Year, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong wished Vietnamese people, soldiers, and overseas Vietnamese a Happy New Year.
