(VOVWORLD) - Lessons and experiences that APEC member economies have gained through their natural disaster fight and response, especially in applying advanced science and technology, have been shared at the ongoing 11th Senior Disaster Management Officials Forum held in central Nghe An province.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Hoang Van Thang told the forum that Vietnam expected to learn from international partners in natural disaster preparedness and contribute to APEC and world capacity in disaster management capacity. He called for a consensus recommendation to APEC leaders to boost development cooperation and advanced technology to support natural disaster impact mitigation and aftermath recovery.
