Minister Nguyen Thanh Long has called on the leaders of 125 medical and pharmaceutical universities and colleges to send personnel to help Bac Giang and Bac Ninh province fight COVID-19.
Minister Long said the pandemic is spreading complicatedly and the health sector has to strengthen prevention and control. He asked universities and colleges to train students on vaccinations, taking samples, testing, taking care of COVID-19 patients, and cross-infection prevention.
The Ministry of Health has established a special taskforce for COVID-19 prevention and control in Bac Ninh province led by Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen. The taskforce will be in charge of using IT for pandemic prevention and control, disinfecting industrial parks and surrounding areas, and treat of COVID-19 patients.
