1,300 gifts given to poor patients during Tet
(VOVWORLD) - The social insurance agencies have over the past few days given 1,300 gifts worth 31,000 USD to health insurance patients in difficult circumstances who are being treated at medical facilities in 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
The gift giving is part of the emulation movement "The whole country lends helping hands to the poor – leaving no one behind" launched by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Nguyen Lan Hieu, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital, said, “This is an activity of human significance and especially pervasive. From an agency in charge of managing the State's Health Insurance Fund, it has now changed positively, supporting the overall development of the system. This change will set a precedent and create a movement of helping the poor.”
