(VOVWORLD) - Fourteen books and book series were declared winners of the 2022 Good Book Award at a ceremony in HCM city on Sunday.

The books, including both Vietnamese books and translated publications, were in seven categories-research, education, economics, management, literature, children’s books, and new discoveries.
The 11th edition of the awards was organized by the Institute for Research of Education Development (IRED), the OpenEdu Initiative, and a book-reading encouragement project.
Translator Khanh Nguyen won a prize in the literature category for his translation of “A glimpse of me shining in the human world” by Vietnamese-American author Ocean Vuong.
“The biggest challenge in translation is preserving the literary style of a great author. Successfully translating wordplay into Vietnamese is its own reward,” said Nguyen.
