(VOVworld) – The 14th session of the Vietnam-RoK inter-governmental committee opened in Hanoi on Tuesday. The two sides briefed each other on their economic development and the implementation of the previous session’s outcomes.
They reviewed cooperation in trade, investment, industry, market access, labor, employment, consular affairs, and development. The Republic of Korea is currently Vietnam’s leading partner in direct investment totaling 40 billion USD. Two-way trade has reached approximately 30 billion USD. The Republic of Korea’s annual ODA for Vietnam has been 300-400 million USD. Both countries have made important contributions to regional and global forums and multilateral cooperation mechanisms.
