(VOVworld) - As many as 40 enterprises and designers will gather at the 2^nd annual Ao Dai Festival, scheduled to be held in Dam Sen Cultural Park in Ho Chi Minh City on March 7-8.

A series of special programs will be included in the festival, such as an Ao Dai design competition and Ao Dai drawing contest. An exhibition of the traditional dress through the eras and an Ao Dai show will also be included. According to the event’s organizing board, Miss Ao Dai Vietnam Lan Khue will attend the festival to meet and take photos with participants. The event, organized to honor this Vietnamese traditional dress, is part of the City’s activities to promote and popularize the municipality to local and international tourists, It is also part of celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of Liberation Day (April 30, 1975-2015). The City drew over 50,000 tourists when it hosted the event for the first time last year.
