(VOVworld) – 2015 Lotus Village Festival opened on Saturday in Vinh city, Nghe An province on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh’s 125^th birth anniversary.

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, leaders of relevant departments and local authorities, together with thousands of people attended the event. 33 local art troupes and 2 others from Laos and Thailand took part in the event. Dinh Thi Le Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of Nghe An provincial People’s Committee, said: “The Festival shows our respect and gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh for his great contribution to Vietnam’s revolution. The event also helps promote the campaign to study and follow the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh and educate about Vietnam’s glorious revolutionary cause”.  

An art program on President Ho Chi Minh also took place as part of the Festival.
