(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has decided that a ceremony to present this year’s Ho Chi Minh and State awards for literature and arts will take place at 8pm on September 30, in Hanoi’s Opera House.

The awards have been presented every 5 years since 1996 for 9 categories: literature, fine-arts, music, cinema, theatre, photography, architecture, folklore, and dance. These two prestigious awards conferred by the President provide encouragement to authors and receive strong response from the public. This year, there have been 18 nominees for the Ho Chi Minh award and 95 nominees for the State award.
