The tournament aims to promote the unique characteristics of Lai Chau like nature, people, and culture, to boost the local tourism sector and strengthen Lai Chau’s connection with other localities of Vietnam and around the world.

Pilots must begin their route from Si Thau Ban village, a community tourist site that belongs to the Dao ethnic group and is situated at over 1,400 metres above sea level, before heading to Tam Duong district’s stadium.

The award ceremony will take place on Monday. The tournament also includes hot-air balloon activities that will give visitors magnificent views of Lai Chau city from 50 meters above.
