Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dung highlighted Vietnam’s outstanding achievements and Vietnam-US ties during the past year, particularly the upgrading of the relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation, and sustainable development.
"The Embassy organized this program for overseas Vietnamese to celebrate the upcoming Tet festival. Such activities serve to bring the community together, foster love and unity, encourage collaboration, and promote greater contributions to our homeland,” he said.
One overseas Vietnamese, who attended the gathering, said, "It's been 40 years since I last had an opportunity to return to Vietnam to celebrate Tet. Every Tet, even though there are no other Vietnamese people in the area where I live, I still try to maintain traditions like buying a Chung cake. I watch Tet programs and miss Vietnam very much.”
“This year, the embassy organized a good celebration, which moved me, especially the apricot branches, the peach blossoms, the girls wearing ao dai, and the old scholar, all of which symbolize Vietnam.”
