Vietnamese Tet culture celebrated in Paris

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam’s lunar new year (Tet) culture was introduced to the Overseas Vietnamese community and French friends on Sunday in Paris by the Association for the Promotion of Vietnamese Culture (APCV).

Addressing the program, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang praised APCV's dedication to popularize Vietnamese cultural images and spread traditional values of the Vietnamese people.
“We applaud the association’s efforts and the French friends’ support. Every year Paris reserves a very beautiful auditorium for the APCV to have a wonderful reunion. As the new year is arriving, we wish the association, its members, overseas Vietnamese and French friends good health and success,” Thang said.

Themed "Proud Spring, Sublime Tet", the Spring Festival program left attendees with a deep impression via a showcase of Vietnamese long dress (ao dai), lion dance and martial art performances.
At the program, APCV received the official decision to establish the Ao Dai Heritage Club in France.

The Association for the Promotion of Vietnamese Culture was founded in January 2019 and now has more than 200 members who are Vietnamese people and foreigners living in France, the US, Sweden, Japan, and Vietnam.
