(VOVworld)- The Vietnam Coal Mineral Industries Group on Monday held a meeting to celebrate its 20^th founding anniversary. At the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung presented the Group with the Independence Order, third class.

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai presented the Government’s Emulation Flag to the Group. In his address, Mr. Hai urged the Group to bring into play its tradition and achievements to deserve as one of three pillars of national power security. He asked the Group to accelerate the SOE restructuring process, increase mechanization in the mining sector and minimize labor accidents. He stressed the need to focus on upgrading mines to increase the mining productivity meeting the demands of thermal power projects. Hai urged the group to expand cooperation with foreign partners to stabilize the production.
