High on the agenda were also the investment policy for the North-South high-speed railway project, the adjustment of the investment policy for the Long Thanh International Airport Project, and a draft resolution on piloting the implementation of commercial housing projects through agreements to acquire land use rights.

The Government recommended the construction of a new dual-track railway which has a gauge of 1435 mm, is electrified, is designed for a speed of 350 km/h, and has a load capacity of 22.5 tons per axle. The main line will be approximately 1541 kilometers long, running through 20 provinces and cities, with an initial investment of 67 billion USD.

In the afternoon, the National Assembly passed a Resolution on the Central budget allocation plan for 2025, discussed the Investment Policy for the National Target Program on Drug Prevention and Control until 2030, and held a side meeting to discuss a number of other important issues.

On Tuesday, National Assembly deputies adopted a resolution on the socio-economic development plan for 2025 which targets a GDP growth rate of 6.5-7%.
