(VOVworld)- The 224^th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi-Dong Da battle against China’s Qing invaders led by national hero Nguyen Hue was celebrated in Hanoi on February 14^th, the fifth day of the first lunar month. The celebration featured several festival activities including an incense burning ceremony at King Quang Trung’s monument, a procession, dragon dances, martial art performances and folk games. Thousands of visitors attended the event.

The same day, an incense burning ceremony was held in Thua Thien Hue province to mark the 225^th anniversary of national hero Nguyen Hue being enthroned Emperor Quang Trung and the 224^th anniversary of Ngoc Hoi- Dong Da victory. The Ngoc Hoi-Dong Da victory is celebrated every year to honor the great contributions by ancestors.
