226 Vietnamese workers in Uzbekistan to be brought home soon
(VOVWORLD) - The Foreign Ministry on Friday worked with relevant agencies and labor export firms to discuss measures to bring the stranded Vietnamese workers in Uzbekistan home as soon as possible.
226 Vietnamese employees working for China Petroleum Jili Chemical Engineering and Construction Company in Karshi city, Uzbekistan, sent a letter to the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, saying they are facing difficulties in daily activities and work and risks of COVID-19 infection, and called for help from the embassy.
The Consular Department under the foreign ministry has coordinated with the embassy and the company that sent the workers to Uzbekistan to check the situation and work out a solution.
