(VOVWORLD) - In the first 4 months of 2022, the total volume of goods passing through Vietnam's seaports is estimated at more than 236 million tons, up 3% over the same period in 2021, according to the latest statistics of the Vietnam Maritime Administration.

The volume of domestic goods through seaports increased the most, nearly 99 million tons, up 10% over the same period last year.
The total volume of container goods through the seaport reached about 8 million TEUs, up 2% in 4 months. In April alone, the volume through the seaport is estimated at 59 million tons, up 3% over the same period last year.
Seaport areas with cargo volume increase are Quang Ninh, Quang Nam, Dong Nai, and Thanh Hoa.
