2nd international air balloon festival opens in Moc Chau

The event began in Moc Chau district of the northwestern mountainous province of Son La on Thursday to introduce and promote a new and modern tourism product, thus enhancing the tourism attraction of the National Moc Chau Tourism Area to both domestic and international friends. Nguyen Thanh Vy, a tourist from Quang Ngai City, said: “It’s amazing to see those balloons flying in this festival. It’s my first time experience flying in the sky with this balloon.”

Visitors flying with the balloons could enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Moc Chau plateau and its tea farming hills. Vice Chairwoman of Moc Chau District People’s Committee, Nguyen Thi Hoa says this is an interesting experience for visitors on Valentine’s Day: “Through this event, local authorities hope to promote tourism and attract more domestic and foreign holiday-makers to Moc Chau. An air balloon and music performance programme will attract a large number of visitors to the area.”
