(VOVworld)- The 2^nd meeting of the 12^th Party Central Committee closed in Hanoi on Sunday after 3-day sitting. In his closing speech, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong summarized main discussions of the meeting. Members of the 12^th Party Central Committee agreed with the Proposal Report and the draft agenda which was thoroughly prepared. They agreed on the tenure program on successfully implementing resolutions of the 12^th National Party Congress, continuing to implement the Resolution of the 4^th Plenum of the 11^th Party Central Committee on Party building, strengthening the political system, personnel work, and the fight against corruption and waste.

In regard to socio-economic development plan until 2020, the Party Central Committee praised the preparations of the Proposal Report and other reports of the Party Delegation to the Government. It assigned the Party Delegation to the Government to realize resolutions and conclusions of the Party Central Committee and complete documents to submit to the National Assembly the 2016-2020 socio economic development plan for approval at the 11^th session of the 13^th National Assembly. The Party Central Committee stressed the need to prioritize investing in agriculture, farmers and rural areas, reforming the public sector and administrative procedures, improving the business environment and implementing strategic breakthroughs. They laid an emphasis on further consensus on the socialist-oriented market economy, the role of the State, market, and enterprises, a rapid and sustainable growth, reforming the growth model, restructuring the economy and maintaining macro-economic stability.

The Committee agreed on the personnel plan approved at the 12^th Party Congress and based on the requirements to improve the efficiency of the apparatus of state agencies and the entire political system.

Party leader Trong said based on the votes and the Party Central Committee’s personnel nomination, the Politburo will direct relevant agencies to complete plans on personnel nomination for the key positions of state agencies to submit to the 11^th session of the 13^th NA.
