(VOVworld) – The 2^nd Ngo boat race festival opened on Tuesday in Soc Trang city, Soc Trang province. The festival promotes the tourism potential of the province.

Quach Viet Tung is Vice Chairman of Soc Trang province’s People’s Committee: “We hope the festival will promote our tradition and culture, attract investment, increase cultural exchanges, and boost regional tourism development”.

The 2nd ‘Ngo’ Boat Race Festival includes a moon worshipping ritual, a lantern floating contest, Khmer sports competitions, trade fairs, and exhibitions.
