30th Diplomatic Conference’s action program calls for change of mindset
(VOVWORLD) -The 30th Diplomatic Conference closed in Hanoi on Friday with a program of action calling for the change of mindset and pursuing a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation, and development.

The conference also stressed mulilateralization and diversification of foreign relations, proactive international integration, and national interests. Other tasks included proactively contributing and forming multilateral mechanisms and elevating multilateral diplomacy, including devising a comprehensive strategy on multilateral diplomacy by 2030.
After 5 days of sitting, delegates reviewed the implementation of diplomatic tasks set by the 12th National Party Congress and the Program of Action of the 29th Diplomatic Conference. They mapped out orientations of foreign policy in the next 3 years.
Delegates worked out measures to boost diplomatic activities in politics, economics, multilateral diplomacy, border, territory, culture, external information, Overseas Vietnamese affairs, and citizen protection.
