(VOVWORLD) -There are about 180 COVID-19 vaccines being developed worldwide, of which 35 are being tested on humans, World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Thursday.

He told a briefing in Geneva Thursday that “No disease in history has seen such rapid development in research.” “This is a testament to the incredible advances in science and technology the world has made in recent years.”
The WHO chief also expressed concern that bilateral agreements and nationalism could affect equitable access to the COVID-19 vaccine. He called on giving access to the vaccine to as many people as possible.
