(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Veterans’ Business Association held its 3rd Congress in Hanoi on Wednesday.

In its 2018-2023 term, business members of the association earned an estimated revenue of 42.8 billion USD and generated nearly 1 million jobs, most of which went to war veterans, their children, and social beneficiaries. The association also contributed more than 85.7 million USD to humanitarian activities.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Tran Quang Phuong hailed the association’s achievement in the past tenure. He said: "Members of the association need to mobilize their strengths and opportunities, make use of all resources and support from the Government and local administrations, and develop all economic types toward a circular economy, a digital economy, sustainable development while strengthening the application of technology into production and business."
In the 2023-2028 term, the association aims to increase their revenue 6-10%, and continue to prioritize programs on social welfare, paying gratitude, promoting Vietnam’s seas and islands, and aiding disadvantaged students in remote areas.
