(VOVworld)-The Viet Nam-Laos Friendship Association and its Laotian counterpart agency will jointly launch the third Viet Nam-Laos People’s Festival this Sunday. This will be one of the activities to mark the 50 th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties and 35 years since the signing of the Viet Nam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty. Deputy President of Vietnam Laos Friendship Association, former Ambassador Nguyen Huy Quang says that the two sides will broaden education about the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation:“This is a practical way to promote bilateral friendship and comprehensive cooperation. We will organize visits to Viet Nam by Lao people who had protected Vietnamese volunteers during the war, as well as visits by Viet Nam’s former advisors and voluntary soldiers to battlefield sites in Laos
