500 additional cherry trees planted in Hoa Binh Park
(VOVWORLD) - 500 additional cherry trees were planted in Hoa Binh Park, Hanoi, on Saturday to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties this year and respond to a call for 1 million new trees in Hanoi.

The tree-planting ceremony involved Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Kunio Umeda, Hanoi authorities, leaders of Japan’s Aeon Group, and 200 volunteers from both countries. Chairman of the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said cherry blossoms in Vietnam symbolize the flourishing Vietnam-Japan comprehensive strategic partnership.
