51 million people get jobs in Q3-2022
(VOVWORLD) - The General Statistics Office reports that in the 3rd quarter of this year, about 51 million people aged 15 years and older found jobs, an increase of 255,000 people compared to the previous quarter and 3.5 million people compared to the third quarter of 2021.

At the press conference on labor and employment of 2022 in Hanoi on Thursday, the General Statistics Office said the labor market has recovered quite well with the number of employed people increasing sharply in Q3 and higher than the same period in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Of the total 51 million employed workers, the service sector accounted for the largest proportion with 39%. Workers in agriculture, forestry, and fishery made the smallest proportion of 27.6%.
Pham Hoai Nam, Director of the Department of Population and Labor Statistics, General Statistics Office, said: “Socio-economic results from the first 9 months and the third quarter of this year show that we have gradually recovered. The labor market is forecast to develop well in Q4 thanks to the government’s measures to generate more jobs.”
