Cubans jubilantly celebrated the 54th anniversary of the victory of the Cuban revolution. In the transition moment between old year and new year, in the El Morro de Cabana fort 21 battery salvoes were fired in memory of the military rites to memorize the Cuban insurgents led by Fidel Castro who overthrew the Bastista dictatorship to launch a socialism in a free Cuba. Cultural and art activities were organized in many places to welcome 2013 with hope for new victories in the revolution which was a turning point for Cuban. Leaders of neighboring countries have sent congratulatory messages to the Party and State leaders and people of Cuba.
