(VOVworld) – More than 100 Vietnamese and foreign publishers and distributors will take part in the 5^th Vietnam international book fair to be held from September 10 to 14 in Hanoi. At a press conference on Friday in Hanoi, representatives from the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distributing said the book fair will showcase models, objects and documents related to the establishment and development of Vietnam’s publishing sector through different periods.

More than 3,000 publications introducing the development and integration process of Vietnam in the past 30 years of renewal process will also be displayed. Nguyen Ngoc Bao, Deputy Head of the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distributing, said: “Vietnam’s publishing sector has caught up with others in the region and the world. We have become members of the Asia-Pacific and ASEAN Publishers Associations. Vietnam’s books move into the wider world with messages printed on the book code. We have encouraged publishing houses to have synchronous book codes in recent years”.
