Participants said that donations contributed to meeting the national targets on poverty reduction and sustainable development and demonstrated Vietnam’s tradition of mutual support and national unity. 

“The money has been used to build  houses, generate jobs, help the poor in their production and business, and fund  children’s education. Employment and education are the key to sustainable poverty reduction,” said Tran Thanh Man, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
