70 years on Vietnam photography grows as part of national development
(VOVWORLD) -Photography must honestly reflect people's lives in labor, national construction and defense, and international integration, said a senior Party official at the 70th Vietnamese photography’s traditional day (March 15) in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Communications and Education Commission said that over the past 70 years, the position of Vietnamese photography has been elevated globally.
“The Vietnam Photographic Artists Association continues to promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation, uphold the tradition, and build the Association in a positive, effective and professional manner. The association needs to capitalize the role of socio-political professional organizations to orient the members' composition. Photography must reflect social life, contain deep human values, be responsible to the public."
"Each photo must be a valuable message of Truthfulness-Compassion-Aesthetics, enrich the people's spiritual and cultural life, reflect truthfully and extensively the process of industrialization and modernization, national construction and defense, closely follow the guidelines, policies and resolutions of the Party on culture, literature and art,” he said.
The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists now has more than 1,000 members in almost all provinces and cities across the country.
