(VOVworld) – A ceremony to mark the 70^th anniversary of Vietnam’s first general election was held in Nam Dinh province on Tuesday. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh attended the event. Delegates reviewed the 70-year history of the National Assembly and agreed that the 1946 general election began a new era in Vietnam’s history. They also stated that the National Assembly has grown to better represent the people in all aspects of life.
