(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s total count of local COVID-19 infections climbed to 250 on Tuesday after 89 domestic cases were added in the evening.
47 of the latest cases were in Bac Giang, 10 in Bac Ninh, 19 in HCM city, 4 in Lang Son, 2 in Hanoi, 2 in Ha Nam, 2 in Long An, and 1 each in Dong Thap, Tra Vinh, and Vinh Phuc.
Also Tuesday evening, the country confirmed its 48th COVID-19 death, a 76-year-old man from Lang Son province. He died Monday night of "severe pneumonia caused by COVID-19, complications of multi-organ failure and blood loss," the Ministry of Health announced.
Vietnam has recorded more than 7,500 coronavirus cases so far, including more than 3,000 recoveries.
