(VOVworld) – The 8th ASEAN Education Ministers Meeting and the Education ministers and the 2^nd Conference of high-level education officials of East Asian countries opened in Vientiane, Lao on Thursday.
 

The Laos Deputy Prime Minister and Education Ministry said the conference aims to strengthen educational strategies within ASEAN countries and with other countries, and specify educational strategies for ASEAN countries from 2016 to 2020. The educational sector will focus on developing human resources towards the building of the ASEAN economic community by 2015. ASEAN countries appreciated support from Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, and other partners involved in improving educational quality.
