(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam confirmed 97 new infections of COVID-19 on Tuesday evening, bringing the total number of cases during the day to 244.
The latest cases included nine imported cases and 88 domestic infections detected in HCM city (63), Bac Giang (12), Bac Ninh (6), Hung Yen (2), Nghe An (1), and Hanoi (1).
84 of the local cases were found in locked down or quarantine areas.
Vietnam has so far recorded more than 13,700 COVID-19 infections including 69 fatal cases.
