(VOVworld) – The Department for Agro-forestry and the Fishery Quality Management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Canada’s International Development Agency on Thursday reviewed the pilot models for producing and trading safe farm products under VietGap, or the Vietnam Good Agricultural Practice.


Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu, said: "With the aim of improving the quality of Vietnamese agro-forestry and fishery products, the ability to approach market demand, and competitiveness, the project has organized many production models for a safe farm product chain.  After 6 years, 20 models have operated nationwide to produce vegetables, fruits, and foodstuffs. Localities will replicate the models to form zones for mass production."
