Acting President praises famers’ contributions to national development
(VOVWORLD) -Acting President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh applauded the Vietnam Farmers’ Union for its active contributions to national development at a reception for outstanding farmers in Hanoi on Friday.

The delegates were honored at a program called “Proud of Vietnamese farmers” on the occasion of the 88th anniversary of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union on October 14. Ms. Thinh told the guests that 2018 marks the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation and called on the Union to further promote the emulation campaign. The Acting President said the Vietnam Farmers’ Union must be a core force to take care of policy beneficiaries, national contributors, and disadvantaged people, and to improve farmers’ living conditions.
