(VOVworld) – Can Tho city’s Party Committee held a ceremony on Monday to mark the 84^th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), on February 2^nd, 1930.

Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, Tran Thanh Man highlighted the significance of the establishment of the CPV, the achievements of the Vietnamese revolution under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, founded by President Ho Chi Minh. Mr. Man said that the city needs to improve the political system, fully implement the Party Central Committee’s resolution on Party building associated with studying and following the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh, reform its administration, resolve business difficulties, and enhance science and technology’s role in production.

That day, the Vice Secretary of Tien Giang province’s Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh also said that in 2014 the province would focus on implementing the provincial Party Committee’s resolutions and national program on new rural development and liaise with the producers and consumers of agricultural products. The province would further manage and properly utilize resources, develop the socio-economy, protect the environment, and support enterprises to expand their business and effectively implement social welfare policies.

Hau Giang province’s Party Committee also organized a ceremony on Monday to celebrate the Lunar New Year and confer insignias to Party members. The Secretary of the province’s Party Committee, Huynh Minh Chac, affirmed their determination in party building, improving the capability of Party leaders at all levels as well as party members. He said that in the coming months, the Party organizations at all levels would continue their roles in politics, ideology and organization.
