(VOVworld) – Activities have been held across Vietnam to mark the 86th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Leaders from Nghe An province paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and the late Party General Secretary Le Hong Phong. They promised to turn Nghe An into one of the most developed provinces in north central Vietnam and to continue to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.
A get-together of revolutionaries, soldiers, artists, and journalists was held in Son La province at which delegates reviewed the history of the Communist Party and the province’s achievements, particularly in agriculture and rural development.
Quang Tri leaders paid tribute to the late Party leader Le Duan, President Ho Chi Minh’s most prominent disciple and laid a wreath at Quang Tri ancient citadel.
A ceremony to mark the Communist Party of Vietnam’s anniversary was held in Ninh Thuan province. Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Thanh said the province will contribute to Vietnam’s efforts to carry out reform and further international economic integration.
A commemorative ceremony was also held in Hau Giang province.
