(VOVworld) – Ninh Thuan province held a meeting on Thursday to mark the 40
th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification. Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, said that during the General Offensive and Uprising of Spring 1975, the liberation of Ninh Thuan province on April 15 was a triumphant victory and a symbol of patriotism and revolutionary heroism. Marking the occasion, Ninh Thuan province was conferred the title of Independence Order, Third Class.

The Ho Chi Minh Campaign Museum in Ho Chi Minh city opens an exhibition to celebrate the 40th anniversary of national reunification. Hundreds of photos, archives, and documents feature the Ho Chi Minh campaign and the General Offensive and Uprising in 1975.
An international conference entitled “Vietnam-40 years of reunification, development, and integration” will be held in Binh Duong province on April 25-26. More than 300 presentations including those by foreign experts from the US, France, Australia, China, and Japan will be showcased at the conference. Several valuable documents relating to the national struggles against the French and American armies and the East Sea will be revealed at the conference.
