Activities to mark War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day
(VOVworld) – Representatives of the Steering Committee for the Northwestern Region and leaders of Yen Bai province visited and presented gifts to social beneficiary families in Yen Bai city. The delegation expressed deep gratitude to heroic Vietnamese mothers and policy beneficiaries who made great contributions for national liberation.
From July 17 to July 27, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs has visited cemeteries in Quang Tri, Thai Binh, Soc Trang, and Tra Vinh province to mark Vietnam’s War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day July 27. They also presented gifts to policy beneficiaries and people who rendered service to the revolution and those in difficult circumstance in a number of localities.
A number of activities have been held at the Vietnam National Village for Ethic Culture and Tourism in honor of the sacrifices of heroes, war invalids, martyrs, particularly those of ethnic groups.
Leaders of Hai Duong province and representatives of local organizations paid tribute to martyrs at the Martyrs’ Temple in Cam Giang district and presented gifts to war invalids and martyrs’ families on Friday. Young people in the province have been providing free medical check-ups and treatment for policy beneficiaries and revolution contributors on this occasion.
