(VOVworld) – Various activities have been implemented nationwide to ensure labors and policy beneficiaries to have a sufficient Tet.

On Thursday, more than 1600 gift sets and bus tickets were presented to female workers who are working in Hanoi to return home in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh for the Lunar New Year.

Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Hung Yen province organized similar activities worth 45,000 USD.

A special program was held in Bac Kan to present Tet gift packages for the poor in Pac Nam district and Chung cakes for disadvantaged patients, lonely elder people, and orphans across the province.

A Tet cake programme for the needy took place in An Giang province, where participants wrapped and presented Banh Tet, cylindrical glutinous rice cake, to disadvantaged people with the aim to encourage them to have a warm and comfortable Tet.

Long An’s Labor Confederation mobilized benefactors and businesses to visit and present almost 1,600 gift sets for workers along with a cash sum of 23 USD each. An art performance was also held on this occasion.

Kon Tum’s military headquarters organized a Chung cake festival for the poor in Ia Xien commune in Sa Thay district attracting the participation of military staff, soldiers, youth union members, and the locals. Besides 150 gift packages were presented for poor villagers each worth 23 USD.
